To be an ACTIVE MEMBER of
AMSA you must complete the following each semester:
- Attend 4 of the 6 General Meetings
- Participate in at least 1 social or 1 AMSA sponsered service event
- Accumulate a total of 20 points
- Pay Dues
Point System:
- 2 points per meeting
- 1/2 point for wearing AMSA shirt to
meetings
- 1 point per hour of volunteer
service
- 2 points per hour of volunteer service with
AMSA
- 1 point for attending ECHO meeting
- 1 point for participating in AMSA social
event
- 1 point for serving on Public Relations
committee
- 1 point for signing in at the cube in
Koldus (located in Student Activities 4E)
- Members: you can now check your
points online.
The points online are updated up to April 1st, 2008.(note:volunteer hours from other organizations will be added at the end of the semester)

Dues:
Local: $20 per
semester or $35 for one year
National: $35 for one year

discounts:
- 1 full scholarship for
Princeton Review
MCAT Prep course to the member with the most points
- 2 half scholarships for Princeton Review
MCAT Prep course to the next two members with the most points
- Each ACTIVE AMSA member receives a $100
discount for Kaplan OR Princeton Review MCAT Prep course
